With over 25 years’ experience in PR, marketing, content and design, I set up Essential PR Marketing (formerly Essential Marketing Management) in Burton on Trent 23 years ago to offer the best independent service possible, for a fair price.
A recruitment company, latterly a client, advised me to work for myself, as I wouldn’t find what I was looking for. I was mentored by a senior PR, from Harrison Cowley (HC), which was later bought by one of the best-known PR agencies in the UK, and my first news release was published in the Vogue of the computer world.
I use experience I’ve gained helping to set up four successful companies for others. This encompassed everything from training (to senior management level), a buy-out of the systems division of an Apple Mac dealership (Unix; integrated, multi-user systems; management information; accounting software; and vertical markets).
I have always loved learning about, understanding and supporting clients. I feel privileged to step into the worlds my profession enables me to explore.
